AAU Information Our club is an AAU sanctioned club. The AAU (Amateur Athletic Union) is a nation wide organization of many different sports. It provides our club the opportunity to compete with other martial artists on a local, state, national, and international level as well as providing the opportunity to become a certified official and coach. The AAU is not affiliated with any particular martial arts organization, but allows many different organizations to come and compete together without the restrictions of dictating curriculum or how each school is run. It is primarily used in our club as a venue for our students to compete in a safe and fair environment, but does allow for much more (rank testing, certifications, training seminars, etc). Although we have only been an AAU club for one year, our club has participated in AAU events since its beginning. |
